Hi,
Can Anyone help me choose a mini or micro itx case that will support a full size GPU & full size PSU
as i would like to change out my Zalman HD160XT Case that sits under my t.v

I also have another m-itx build (Cooler Master 120 Elite but won't take my Corsair HX1000i

The SG05 only accepts SFX psu's, your HX1000i will not work in that case.

What size motherboard do you have in the HD160XT?

Or is this a new build with new parts and just using the PSU?

The Elite 120 does accept PSU's of up to 180mm length (which the HX1000i is)
It has a PSU extender supplied with case and you should not have any issues installing drives etc.

Are you wanting cube and HTPC style cases or is tower ok as well?

it was suppose to be a new build but i wanted to use the HX100i and possiblly my msi 390x in it

my case hight cant be more than 13" or 33cm tall and a depth of 18" 46cm as it would sit inside a wall under a tv

Ok, that's tower style cases out the window.

If you are 100% sure that the HX1000i wont fit in an Elite 120 / 130 case and allow you to use the optical bay.
The only suggestion I can make to allow you to keep the HX1000i and an optical drive is the Corsair Obsidian 250D
With the dimensions you've provided it will fit into the space.
How cool it will run with a 390x in a space with no airflow around it is another thing entirely, not something I'd do tbh.

Gaming pc's and walls / cabinets do not work well together without some extra engineering to get some airflow and stop heat being trapped.

In your shoes, if I had to have a powerful gaming pc connected to the Tv.
It would be in a free standing case, you can buy long cables now and USB hubs to easily put it out of sight if you don't want to see it.

What motherboard/s do you recomend for the Corsair Obsidian 250D either skt 1155 or 1151?
