New mac mini superdrive not working?

Got my new mac mini 2 week ago, now the problem I'm having is I've inserted a disc to burn using toast 8 and the program is saying no drive found?

I played a dvd the other night and it was working, but now i've tried this I can't seem to eject the blank disc.

I'm getting a error message with itunes saying burner not found!

Any solutions greatfully received thanks in advance.

When you power on the mini, hold "D" on the keyboard and follow the instructions. This will test your hardware and give you some error codes to google.

Thanks, i've managed to get the blank dvd out. As it's the superdrive (DVD+-R DL/DVD+-RW/CD-RW) I'd have thought it would take a blank dvd, it's taken a blank cd ok though

Did it have any scratches on the DVD? The superdrives are uber sensitive.

Don't re-call seeing scratches as it's a new blank dvd to write too, very weird? Cd worked fine.
