new mac mini

Just got a mac mini 2ghz. Nice little machine. It is my first venture into the mac world. Two questions for those in the know....

1) Anyone know if it is possible to turn off mouse acceleration?

2) Is there any way to get a standard usb keyboard logitech oem cheapo thing to work correctly? I have the europe keyboard layout selected but @ and " are swapped. Forward slash gives me some strange character §. Home/End dont seem to work correctly either.

keyboad will be under system preferences, mouse is also however im unaware if theres an acceleration toggle, im on fedora atm

2) Apple have a rather different idea of what a UK keyboard should look like that anyone else. So you might be out of look and just have to put up with the American placement of @ (I have

I changed my aluminium wired keyboard to the more traditional British layout (i.e. shift2 is " not @) by using 'Logitech U.K. Intl' keyboard layout in the input menu (system preferences -> international).

As someone who switches between osx and xp several times a day it's pretty much essential I have the keyboard doing the same thing on both.

I'll upload the layout onto rapidshare in a minute.

Incredibly, no. Take a look at SteerMouse. Which costs money. :/

Cheers for the replies and that pack of keybd defs. Still yet to get that bit sorted as I am connecting via a kvm and as such the keyboard is identified as KVM.
