Is this ok for a new thread to state new software and/or updates for programs we use in 2010?

It seems I've had notifications for 3 apps that have come out these past few days.

1) MacPAR DeLuxe 4.0

Release notes
  • This version requires Mac OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" or better. It does not run on previous versions of the operating system.
  • The program uses Snow Leopard techniques (most notably Grand Central Dispatch) to speed up the par process, and to improve the distribution of the work load over multiple processor cores.
  • The program now runs fully 64 bit (on a 64-bit Mac); this goes for the user interface as well as the par and rar engines. It comes as a universal binary, so it runs on 32-bit Macs as well.
  • Improved ease-of-use by re-organizing the tool bar, adding more descriptive tool tips, and rewriting parts of the documentation.
  • Fixed a few technical issues, improving stability and reliability.

2) Unison Version 2.0

Release notes
  • Use the "Directory" to search for relevant groups
  • Or, use "All Groups" to find your favorites
  • Add groups to your sidebar for quick access
  • Set group options like auto-loading and offline reading
  • Read Messages
  • Use the Thread View to read all messages at once
  • Thread lines make it easier to see who replied to what
  • View and post messages in HTML or Plain Text
  • Work with Files
  • Files are magically grouped together for downloading
  • See images, music, files, and messages in one view
  • "Smart Downloading" skips unneeded recovery sets
  • Much More
  • Use the Search Browser to find files and NZBs
  • Built-in UnPAR/UnRAR/Join, no external tools needed
  • Set up Rules to manage your messages
  • Upload binary files in one automated click
  • Preview music by streaming it directly off the server

3) AppZapper Version 2.0

Release notes
  • We've added a bunch of great new things to AppZapper 2, but it's simpler to use than ever.
  • You can use the normal drag and drop interface or use 'Hit List' to help you sort through the clutter.
  • The new 'Hit List' feature allows you to quickly browse through every app on your computer.
  • Select an app to see its related files and then just hit 'Zap!' to get rid of it instantly.
  • Everything has been optimized for Snow Leopard and 64-bit Macs so it's super fast and super simple.

AppFresh is quite good, it often tells me that there's an update available when there isn't though.

It's partly my fault, I need to tell it some apps not to try and update. For what it does, it's very good.

Unison is a newsgroup app, you have to sign up to a service (thundernews.com) to use with it. Then *ahem* a NZB (torrent like file) site of your choice which you use Unison with.

Transmission is for the freely available BitTorrent network.
