New MacBook, iLife & Lion

I bought what turned out to be one of the last MacBooks. This was to replace a very old and broken MacBook. As I had bought it so recently, I was able to download Lion and upgrade it foc. I then made a USB boot hdd and used this to do a clean install.

Now it is my understanding that, since some time in 2010, all new Macs come with iLife included. I never got around to seeing if the new MacBook had iLife 11 on it before the Lion install - but it doesn't have it on now.

Would iLife have been included on the MacBook? And, if so, how can I now acquire and install on my Lionised MacBook?

Thanks

John

I had convinced myself that it should have been available via the App store as I had a valid Lion download in connection with a new purchase.

I had completely forgotten about the supplied dvds  I'm obviously embracing Apple's new thinking on having everything available via the App store :)

It only took me 40 minutes to find the DVDs :( I feared they would be in the box that was then used to package the old macbook which I gave to my daughter to have fixed for £150.

Now updating all my macs with iLife 11 :)

Thanks for your responses.

John
