New macbooks Oct 14th?

i'm hoping this is true, as I'm waiting for an updated MBP before I buy... quad core would be nice, along with the fabled glass trackpad. although, truth be known, i just want to know i'm not getting a laptop that will be updated weeks later!

and, the way it stands, I don't believe MBP's are not currently value for money, and I'm hoping the new ones will fix this ... (like they were when they first came out!)
 
hmm i'll hold off then for now my gf has fell in love with the apple mac desktop and she certain she wants that but laptop would suit me more for unitheres no rush shall wait and see what it brings

Can't stand using the computers at college, we're allowed to take in laptops to work on and it'd be great to not be restricted and actually have a computer that doesn't take 5 minutes to log on.

I can login (from cold-boot) in 12 seconds on my Vaio into Windows XP.

I am waiting for the new Macbooks so I can pick up an outdated one cheap
