Looking at treating myself for Xmas , just knocked up the below as a draft spec:

- Asus P5W DH Deluxe (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

- NEC MultiSync® LCD20WGX2 20.1" Widescreen LCD Monitor

- Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music

- WD Western Digital Raptor 150GB WD1500ADFD 10,000RPM SATA

- OcUK Silentmaxx Aluminium Hard Drive Enclosure

- Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz

- GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2

- Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B Heatpipe CPU Cooler

- Pioneer DVR-111BK 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter

- GameXStream 700w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply

Any bad experiences with the above or any recommendations?

Thinking of ordering some of this today, any comments appreciated before I seriously hurt my bank balance!

If you want to save a bit of cash then swap the Raptor for a Seagate 7200.10. You could get a bigger HDD for less than that Raptor and would'nt be too far away in performance wise , otherwise that spec looks sweet.

Yeah, thought about that but I have an external drive for extra stuff + a 120GB Samsung Spinpoint spare so the raptor should be sufficient, and quick.

One thing I haven't looked at much are quiet 120mm case fans for the Eclipse. Can any Eclipse owners out there recommend quiet case fans?
