He'd have to show screenshots of his 10.5.7 as well, it's needed for the 4870. This was also confirmed by Simon at the Apple store in the Trafford Centre.

You should have asked simon if someone picked up a Mac Pro of that spec today, could end this realyl quickly then.

They don't have any new Mac Pros, at all. I work at the other store and there have not been any allocations sent out to the stores yet.
