hey guys, last week sometime I put videos up of my car (Impreza Sport).. really just to see how it sounded before and after my new manifold. well I got some after videos for you to see now:

before:

after:

flyby

inside (boot it at roughly 2.40min in)

I think it sounds great :D so it'd be a shame not to share me thinks!

let me know what you think... and yes the videos are boring again :p

the fogs are only on for the video.. I don't drive with them on normally!

one guy got 8bhp ATW when he dyno'd it before and after... So i'm going to say maybe 10bhp tops at the fly??

18 years old, maybe 1 years no claims bonus and a Bham postcode.

What's the insurance gonna be like?

Not possible :p plus I'm still 17 :)

I didn't do this mod for more power, there really is no point doing power mods on NA cars. This was purely for the noise.

PATW really doesn't bother me as these cars lose far too much to the drivetrain. I have said this before but, my scooby is faster than my bro's mini which runs 135bhp @ the flywheel with 105bhp @ the wheels. Hence I'm not particularly fussed about how low my ATW is :p

PS save for a turbo... its like saying to anyone who gets any model of car and mods it... save for the better model.. e.g buy a turbo.. mod it... o why dont you save for an STi... it goes in circles no matter what car you have.

I'm with you mate. Worth the price for the sound alone! Nothing wrong with modding a Sport.

hehe I know this! I've always said there's nothing wrong with doing some nice little mods to a nice car to make it nicer :) Plus I am in love with this sound !

guys chill... like I said I never did this for performance... :) the only "performance" mods I have done are Turbo brakes upfront, a backbox and the manifold... nothing exactly major as the backbox was free :p and the manifold was for sound... and well standard sport brakes just suck !

urm no pics of the engine. But yeah it's a 2.0litre flat four.

I don't it would be cheap to do cams though! buying, fitting... remapping ecu so it doesnt kill itself at idle!
hmm maybe not :) unless I suddenly get flush and want to toy about!

haha nope :p
Colour coding is going to be done soon I hope. March's pay is going to new tyres though :( although I will be 18 (28th March ;) ) by then... so maybe get it on credit.. but I'm trying to avoid doing things like that.

I think I might decat it soon, just to have a full stainless exhaust, and maybe a Gen 2 K&N induction kit, other than that not much more I can do. Unless I go into harder NA tuning with cams, porting inlets and things. But again I won't be doing that because it's not really worth the gains :)

Otherwise I just want to lower it, and I'll be happy with it - even though I love the car at the moment :)

In terms of styling I've finished it, bar colour coding. Its got STi Rear lights, full crystal set, turbo wing, and STi6 front splitter. Nothing more needs to be done IMHO as I love how it looks!

theres always unorthodox under drive pulleys, + a few other bolt ons u could experiment withs

I have an ICE system... so I don't want to kill my alternator. Lighter ones at the same size might work though

It needs an STi-6 rear wing.

Really, all Scoobs should have the huge wing, it looks uber.

HELL no :)

I'm going to be honest... I dont like the Prodrive WR Sport wing on the RB5... there's just too much of a gap to the boot. ah well :D
