New markings for Pirelli's tyres

Am I the only one who thought the Bridgestone method of a white stripe on the softer of the 2 compounds worked prefectly well?

Bright red/yellow/silver or white side walls is going to look rubbish.

Personally glad the wall is going to be fully painted

Its alll very well having the stripe on the "softer" set for that weekend, but it would be nice to know which formulations are actually being used that particular weekend, so a single white stripe doesnt help

I dunno, I tend to find being told which compounds are in use repeatedly by the comentators, reading it in the news, seeing it displayed on screen before each track session and described in the pre qualifying and race build up is plenty of opportunity to gain the information and retain it for the whole weekend.

It will be interesting to see how Pirelli are to implement the colour on the sidewall.

Firestone use a red coloured sidewall in the Indycar series.

If it works for Pirelli then great. I just hope a good solution is found sooner rather than later. That said Pirelli are doing a great job in their first season back in F1.

1stly No need for the intense sarcasm

2ndly - you are completely wrong (imo) - because most of the time the commentators and most written articles written about the weekends only mention whether they are the hard or the soft for that weekend (in the quali /part of the race they are describing) , and rarely whether its hard / medium / soft /super soft over the complete range.

Yeah, waiting for the commentators to say which version of the softs / hards they are using isn't the same as being able to look at the tyres and instantly know exactly which are which, so I'm looking forward to it too.
