hi can anyone spec me a new mb to overclock a q6600 that takes ddr3, my p5kc is crap

Without doubt I would say an Asus P5Q3 series. (P5Q3 Deluxe is particularly nice)
Basically any P45 board that supports DDR3, if your Q6600 is up to it, you should get 3.6 GHz out of it, just by bumping the CPu volts, as most P45 boards will happily do 400 FSB on stock volts.
