New MB is broken

Hi I recently purchased a MSI Z87 G45 mb. I have got a 700 w ATX Psu and I am connecting it all up to the psu as I have done with every other Mb I have ever had. I'm connecting the 24 pin and also the 8 pin Jpwr2 and nothing no fans go on no beeps nothing. Im realy disappoint as I have been waiting ages to get this rig built and it looks like my mb is broken and I just got it. Now I know the psu is fine I just tested it in my ild rig has anyone got any suggestions at all bedore I talk to OC tech support and request a new Mb? Ok I figured out that my jfp1 connection wasn't in the right place. The cable that connects the feont pannwl to the mb now I put it in and thw thing lit up and the fans and such came on and I thought ok now it works but when I turned it off and try now it powers on for abou 2 sec and just cuts out.
