New MBO Temps

Hi, Just installed a new MBO (Asus P5E) and CPU (Q6600 GO) with a stock heat sink and fan (ordered an ACF 7 Pro but not turned up yet).

Seem to be getting 25-28c CPU and 26-28c MB temps with PC Probe.

Is this correct - seems quite low to me! Will it get any better with the ACF 7 Pro?

double check them with coretemp

PC Probe reports the core temps at around -5to10c difference to actual from core temp, Mobo temps seem to be ok never had anything to compaire them to

we'll that would depend, the latest version of PC probe gives the same temps as core temp, only speedfan is of by 15c

Try using Intel`s thermal analysis tool (TAT)

not massive, but it will improve, go for a tuniq, its massive, but it'll make overclocking a breeze
