Hi Folks,

My last PC (Media ) from overclockers is now nearing the end of its life after 8 hassle free years of use. Still surprised to see it handling modern games so well.

I need a new PC which will preferably sit on top of my AMP under the stairs, so it need to be able to sit on its side, like my old media machine or possible a cube.

Moderate video editing
Some gaming (WoW) which I would like to run on full settings.
Lots of listening to music and watching HD films BluRay and downloads)

I would like 16gb ram and 4mb graphics if poss.

No operating system or antivirus

Budget £800-900

Looking for something that rocks that will last another 8 years.

Can someone spec me up a machine plz.

Ps. I have external hard drives for storage, so thinking I need an SSD for main Hard drive?

Thanks Brad.

Thanks for putting this together for me so quickly. Looks good.
I can see where you are going with the graphics card, but could stretch the budget if there is a non AMD alternative, thats better?

GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

or

GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infin8 Black Edition" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **World

How bigs the amp? You could consider using a 'htpc' style case instead, there's plenty to choose from here

That builds a diy job although I'm sure if you were to speak to OCUK they'd likely build one for you (will cost extra obviously) or you could look through their pre built options for something similar

The amp is an onkyo TX-NR609, but I am happy with the above cube case as my previous HTPC case limited what graphics card I could use due to space. I am happy with the Mickeys spec, even with the graphics card as it seems to be geared towards good sound quality, just had a bad experience with an Radeon card years ago.

I will give the guys at OCUK a call to see if they will build it for me.

Would be interesting to know if the GTX 970 OC would be any better though.
