Hi, dont know if this is the right place for this but here goes........i got windows 7 ultimate and not that fussed on the media play, it works fine but just looks pants for such a good OS i liked media 10(i think or 11) i had on XP, so my question is this, is there another media play which looks better?

Splash Player is what I am running on my media PC, looks good and plays all my files without the need of extra codecs.

Another player that looks better? You could just get a decent one, and then skin it afterwards.

For video files I use VLC and MPC HC with FFDshow, and audio I use Winamp. Foobar as far as I know is just as skinnable.

Some people say VLC looks rubbish and for image quality Media Player Classic is for the win.

Does anyone have any pictures of this, as I have never really seen any difference

I don't thin anyone says it looks rubbish, and if you use the overlay renderer in MPC it'll look the same. MPC does let you have to choice of other renderers however, and these can look better and have more colour accuracy. And it's just a much better player in general, much more functional configuration and better splitters/filters.

This is what I use

Sleek and small

sleek? it looks cheap and so 90s.
good looking player is splash (pro version with smartseek) and older windvd.

no, it looks like nothing. when running, press "1" and the interface disappears alltogether.

MPC:HC is without a shadow of a doubt, the best video player program on the internet, both free and paid-for.
