Hi all,

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I searched around and not sure where to ask questions regarding Media players.

Anyway, I'm on the hunt for a new Media Player and I can't believe how frustrating it is to find something which fits my requirements.

Right now, I've been using the WD LiveTV Hub for about 2 years. It's ok except the only way to connect it to a network is via ethernet which is a pain as everytime it means I need to download something onto my laptop and then physically connect the laptop to the LiveTV hub and transfer over the file.

Ideally I want something:
*super solid, super stable
*responsive
*plays all formats, particularly blueray rips (.mkv)
*built-in storage of 1-3TB
*WiFi

Bonus if it can directly stream videos from things like Hulu or Watchseries as that would be ideal for the girlfriend too. She watches a lot of series off the net.

Price is of no issue as we want this to be our main media source and we want it to last so we're happy to pay whatever it takes. And no we wouldn't be interested nor technically capable of doing a streaming file server. It has to be an all-in-one solution.

Thank you

I would look at a NAS to store your media in one location so all your devices can access the content, combined with homeplugs for streaming to your WD.

A NAS such as the synology ones require little to no setup literally put the drives in run the setup wizard, put the media in the right folders and any dlna device will see it on the network.
