I'm here because I have ordered a complete build project. (my first)

I'm coming from a 9 year old Gaming PC (built to order) to a new £1600 Gaming PC project.

I've shopped around for a few months with the aim of replacing my 9 year old PC.
Was- E6850 duo, ROG striker extreme1, GTX8800 (recently upgraded to 650Ti) Was playing on SyncMaster 305T @ 2560X1600 (now watching others play instead)

I almost assembled an OCed Gaming PC from ************ but the lack of choices and price were not to my liking. I then decided to try my hand at building one.
Unfortunately I got caught up in the new tech lust and a want for VR/4K.
So I have ordered a parts list from here:-
White H440+ case.
Gigabyte z170X Gaming 7 Motherboard.
i7 6700K CPU.
Corsair Hydro H100i V2 Cooler.
Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut High Performance Thermal Paste.
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3200MHz Dual Channel RAM.
MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G GPU.
Super Flower Leadex Platinum 650W Fully Modular Platinum PSU.
Samsung SM951 128GB M.2 PCI-e 3.0 x 4 NVMe SSD.
Samsung 250GB 850 EVO 2.5" SSD.
Samsung SE-208GB/RSWD External Slimline 8x DVD-RW.
Microsoft Windows 10 32/64-Bit - USB Pen Drive.

I'm hoping everything will work together nicely and I can get the OS on the M.2 without many problems.
Any advice would be helpful regarding the build.
Thank you.
Ant.

Everything looks in order. You'll have to see if you encounter issues with installing the SM951 as boot drive, and if so, enquire for solutions (the Storage forum is a good place).

For 4K readiness you maybe should have gone with a more powerful PSU as that one won't handle two cards. Older games may run well with a single 980Ti at 4K but most new big titles won't. If you haven't bought a 4K screen yet, I'd recommend 1440p/120Hz (plus whatever else you're willing to fork out for features like IPS or Gsync) instead.

Hopefully you selected the bundle offer on the i7-6700K + Giga Z170X Gaming 7.

I contacted a member of OCUK staff today about having to flash the bios on the motherboard or not in order to install the OS on the M.2, he believes that it is a newer version and I shouldn't have any problems.
If I encounter any I'll look at the Storage forum, thanks.

I have a 2560X1600 monitor that will suit me for now with an occasional game on a 40" 4K TV (not on ultra settings).
I toyed with the idea of a bigger PSU but I won't be doing SLI for a while and I figured the PSU will be overkill until I do, it will also be usable in another PC should I upgrade to SLI later. (wondering what Pascal has to offer)
I bought a 1000W PSU for my last PC but never bothered with SLI in the end as better and better cards came out.

If my monitor (9 years old) should pass away, I would probably have to get a Gsync 4K as even though a 1440p is only 160 lines less than my current monitor that is 10% :D

Yes, I got the bundle deal (£40 off)

I'm going to see if I can dismantle my MSI 980 Ti and spray the black plastic cover white for a red/white theme. I also want to source some red vinyl to highlight the case too. :)

Thank you for your help and sugestions Danny75, much appreciated.
Ant.
