Whoa, they're some big pics! If you resize them downwards a bit you might get a few more comments.

I like the colours and level of detail you've captured on the ducks but the background isn't great. The trials photos are all a bit over-exposed I'm afraid - I'd have expected the Fuji to do a better job of metering them for you to be honest.
 
Thanks for your comments Rich,I thought the trials shots were ok but will try and do better next week!Will resize as you suggest.
By the way how are they overexposed?They were taken on a really dull/wet day but more than willing to learn.

Unless you were shooting on full manual or have done a bit of Photoshop work on them I don't think it's anything you've done that's caused the over-exposure, the camera has probably ot confused somewhere.

Over exposed means that the picture looks "washed out", there are no details in any of the white or lighter areas and the blacks are at best a very dark grey. I've tried to show this in the image below, it's not amazingly accurate but it'll give you the idea :)
