I have

ASUS VM-M2A HDMI M/B AMD 64 690G CHIPSET. 2 GB DDR 2 RAM, GFX = ATI RADION 4650 1GB.

Any tips would be great as im a begginer.

well what games are you looking at playing etc

list your specs

1) cpu
2 Mobo (we know this already)
3 What speed ram
4 what PSU (power supply unit) this is very important
5 Case

And what res are you planning on playing at IE 1920x1200 etc

My Pc is a Fujistu Siemans Scaleo P
Mobo ASUS M2A VM-HDMI
2 GB RAM
AMD ATHLON 64 3.2 GHZ DUAL CORE 6000+
400 WATT PSU
GFZ = ATI RADION SAPHIRE HD 4650 1GB
RES -S 1920 X 1200 ON 22" LCD

First of all welcome!!..

You can keep the gfx card, what make is the psu?
but the rest imho can go..

whats your budget?

first welcome :)

that cant be its native resolution can it?
first gues would be new system unles someone knows if this is upgradeable?

ino what will help, stulid stulid stulid!

(i heard if u say it 3 times...) :p

I think you can keep the gfx card, if your on a tight budget then upgrade it later on if you want..

The GPU will struggle at native res, you would need to run at a lower resolution in order to get reasonable frame rates in certain games.

I can't find your actual motherboard but found the one below which is similar without the HDMI, The upgrade would be limited.

I am in 2 minds what to-do, you could sell your setup and put towards a new system, or upgrade your current GPU and add a extra 2 gig of ram.

Ideally we would need a budget.

I was told by another forum that the gfx is not a gaming one though. Is my pc worth upgrading.

personaly id say a new system would be easier + probably cheaper

but someone else here may have a better idea so wait around for one of the genius's to pop into your thread :)

:EDIT: speakin of which heres rjc... :p

well i would say get rid off it all and start again really

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-360-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=1275

Motherboard something like this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-447-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1906

Ram somthing lilke this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-060-GS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517

then you can get a graphics card of your choice or carry on with the 4650 you have for now BUT get a very good Power supply at least 650w with enough amps on the rail to future proof the graphics card needs and the cpu when OC

i would suggest a corsair 80+ or XFX 750 etc

Now these are just suggestions i actually have an i7 970 1136 chipset and have only read reviews and posts on the sandy bridge chipsets lol and i am very envious of them

Also good case with good cooling is a must

EDIT the 4650 isnt really good for gaming at high res etc i would look at the 6950 then unlock it that is the best bang for bucks right now (IMO) but if budget is tight scrap my suggestions lol
