hi all, just bought myself another 2gb of ocz platinum xtc but when i insert sticks to pc and start pc it wont boot, if i do 1 stick at a time i get bsod before windows starts (0x000001a)
i believe this is something to do with memory managment, do i have to do anything to register 4gb of ram or would it be faulty memory?

ram : ocz 3200 platinum xtc
motherboard : asus an8 sli prem
running vista prem 64bit

thanks ali

So it's the same stuff? Is it at stock speeds?

Try putting the new sticks in on there own or one at a time, you could have a dodgy module. If you are able to boot, try running memtest86 from a CD or Floppy.

ok ive tried every possible way, tired new sticks on there own and pc wont boot so i tried them 1 at a time in each slot and pc still wont boot, put old memory 1 stick at a time and its fine so ive arrange rma to return sticks!!!
