Hi, I bought 2gb ram for my new pc a couple of weeks back. Reasding FAQ for doing a Memtest86+ and coincidentally going into BIOS, I noticed that On my Cell option, I looked at memory speed, and it say '676Mhz'.
Yet am I right in believing it should be 800Mhz?
Here's memory:
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) (MY-058-GL)

And my MOBO should support PC6400 800Mhz right?
Here's MOBO:
MSI K9N Platinum nForce 570 SLi (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-069-MS)

I dont know much, but maybe I need to cheange the BIOS setting to 800Mhz or something?

The Geil PC6400 comes pre-set to PC5300 to make it more compatible out of the box. You need to change it to PC6400 (800Mhz) and 4-4-4-12 in the BIOS.

And yes your board accepts PC6400.

OK, I've set my memclock in bios to 800Mhz. But how do I set the 4-4-4-12?
Is there a certain option I need to look for in bios? As the manual isn't clear on it.
Also, Having 800Mhz as opposed to the 676Mhz I had, will I noticed better speed? For games etc?
