I'm in the middle of upgrading a few components.
Currently have :
- Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE
- AMD RYZEN 7 3700X EIGHT CORE 4.4GHZ
- Gigabyte GEFORCE RTX 2070 SUPER WINDFORCE OC
- Patriot Viper Steel 16GB (2x 8GB) 3600MHz DDR4 C17
I am upgrading the CPU and have bought a "AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Cache Eight Core 4.5GHz" and next month I'm getting a new GPU, and have been advised the "Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 Ghost 12GB GDDR6X".
I've also bought some new memory which is this one :
My basket at OcUK:

My current memory (Patriot Viper steel) is :
And the new memory (Corsair Vengeance LPX) is :
Do I just add the new Corsair memory to give me a total of 16 + 32 = 48 GB RAM, or should I remove the old strips and just have the new strips in there ?
