new memory question

I am currently running, 4gb Ram, DDR3 (corsair XMS2) with 2 x 2gb sticks.

I have ordered my self some new ram same make.

2 x 4gb DDR3 Corsair XMS 2

What would you guys recommended running here.

Do i just go with the 2 x 4gb Sticks?

Or 2 i run all 4 sticks of ram totalling 12gb ram? but that would mean running 2 x 4gb and 2 x 2gb

Im thinking just the 2 x 4gb would be a better option, as 8gb ram is ample i think for anything il ever be doing.

Hi,

you answered question by yourself: 8GB Will be enough, even 6GB ....if you don't do heavy programming, video editing, etc.
