New merc...

Thats been for sale for ever, i cant see 20k in that let alone what they are asking.

Has it! My bad...

Makes you wonder who buys something like that 20 years ago and just keeps it locked up. Criminal!

Seen the gearbox configuration? Would be hard enough using your right hand but they've gone and swapped them all around :p

Avantgarde is actually 1 lad who has some fabulous cars and is a real Mercedes nut, writing for many of the journals about Merc. Lovely bloke, I popped over to his place to have a look at his collection (he didn't have this then) as a mate was interested in one of his cars and I spent an hour or so just chatting. He is not really a tradesman, he's a collector of cars who now and again sells a few to buy some more. Has a number of lovely motors in a nice big storage building. He had a lovely RS2000 Custom, 2 E28 M5's, original Quattro and loads of nice Mercs.

Oh yeah you went and saw that E500 124. He does have some nice cars for sale! I wouldnt want to let them go!!

My old 928 S4 had a dog leg box many many moons ago, horrible thing.

definately overpriced for what it is

Trouble is, you can't really put a value on stuff like this as there are so few around. Its worth whatever a collector will pay.

He tends to have cars priced high but they also tend to be very straight with all the right history. That Evo will sell for close to that one day I suspect, he'll be in no rush for it to find and owner.
