New Metroid Game = E3 Game of the show?

Its pretty much just merging what made Super Metroid and the Gamecube metroid games so awesome.

Its going to be epic beyond words.
 
Wouldn't say game of the show, certainly game of the Nintendo conference.

But then I'm not a huge Metroid fan, it does look good though.
 
Just like I find turn based RPG's like FFVII tedious, we all have our preferences :)

If you like the genre though both are excellent games.
 
I really can't see how this is GOTY material. Just like how Echoes had to measure up against games like KZ2, Uncharted, Halo 3, Mario Galaxy and ended up painfully embarassing instead.

Spare yourself the pain. Conduit is far more deserving of your attention than this tired old franchise.
 
A Metroid game as a third-person action platformer would finally be a dream come true.

EDIT - Looks like this game is in collaboration with Tecmo's Team Ninja, so expect some totally awesome and intensive fights.

Final Fantasy VII is active time based, you can beat the hell out of the enemies, it's probably the fastest FF...:p But I know what you mean
