As usual it's all OcUK's fault... if they hadn't told me that they will shortly be stocking the new Kolink Satellite Micro-ATX Cube Case, I wouldn't have wanted one... but thy did, and I do... want one that is!
Although I used to 'build' Shuttle systems for myself, and friends, I guess things have moved on a bit since then, so I could do with a bit of guidance. I have always liked the smaller 'cube' style cases however, and even find my current Silverstone Sugo SG04F too large!
From comments already made, it would appear that this particular case (the Kolink) is perhaps better suited to a Mini-ITX motherboard, so that is what I am going to go for, but will discuss that later, in more detail, in the appropriate thread. (The Asus Z170i Pro Gaming board is currently on my short list!)
The graphics card will probably be an Asus GeForce GTX 950, which as it is only 220 mm long should fit OK I reckon.
Anyway, back to the case.
Firstly, will it accommodate a 'standard' ATX power supply, or should I be looking at something smaller, such as one from the Silverstone SFX range, for example? (It does have to be modular though!)
At the moment I am considering an Intel Core i5-6400 2.70GHz (Skylake) CPU, but rather that just using a standard fan cooler, the current trend seems to be for radiators, which is something I still have to look into, as I have never built a system with one before.... Something like a Coolermaster Seidon 120V Hydro Cooler perhaps?
Does what I have mentioned so far sound OK, or have missed some basic compatibility somewhere along the line?
