Same. I wouldn't of known it was a "new" Mini if the picture hadn't been posted in this thread.

I think I still prefer the original "New Minis", the proportions looked good on those whereas they've become a bit chunky and bulbous now. Like a Nissan Juke.

Interesting that the Cooper S is going to be a 2.0 turbo, but still only pushing 192bhp. Seems like a waste to me, my RS Clio 2.0 n/a runs 197bhp.

Guess it lays way for a mean JCW, or a lot of tinkering ability with the Cooper S.

Really not a fan - the old one, especially the facelift S looked great - not too girly but fun all the same. This just seems a bit too rounded and like they've just 'fiddled' a little too much!

It looks especially odd as all of its competition have moved to 1.6 turbos with equivilant (or more) power.

The R56 cooper S was also running a 1.6 turbo which was hardly lacking in grunt.

Interested to see what they can do in a JCW guise though. Not so interested by what price that will be though...

I like it, be interesting what they do with JCW. There must be more to come out of that 2 litre.

However I bet to have all the Kit your touching nearly £20k.

i did see an article on pistonheads and i couldn't tell any difference between any of the 'new' ones as a non mini lover. Doesn't look as weird as that massive one they make yet somehow still call it a mini..
