Hello all, you may off seen some other topics but i have decided to buy a new mobo cpu and ram, I have just got another gig of DDR3200 so is there a mobo that will take both DDR and DDR2?

I will be wanting to use a core 2 duo with it along with a nice new case can you spec me a idea?

I have £300

thanks Phil

ASROCK 4 Core VSTA (£40, but not from OCUk alas) takes DDR, DDR2, AGP and PCI-E

Core 2 Duo E4300 - £110 Retail

Some manner of aftermarket cooler if you want to o/c.

I like the Lian Li cases. However the Antec NK400 (£50+) would support the above if you want to go budget.

I worked out it will be better to get a new stick of ddr2 ram 1gb and upgrade later

Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 motherboard (£72.84)
E4300 Processor (£112.79)

Wasn't quite sure if you were asking for a gig of DDR2 or if you were saying you already had it, but: Corsair 1GB DDR2 677Mhz PC2-5300 (£51.69)

Subtotal of £237...

Thermaltake VC2000BNS Mambo SuperMidi Tower (£32.89)
Looks nice for the price.

£270.20

Then it's just PSU, Graphics, Optical Drives, Hard Drive(s), Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Floppy Drive (unfortunately you'll probably find you still need one every now and then)... :) Also would be good to go for an aftermarket cpu cooler.
