ok guys so ive had my q6600 for two yeas and my p5q del for 1 year im thinking its upgrade time im thinkin of goin down the amd route and getting the crosshair 4 and a phenom 2 1055t and 4 gig of dominator gt ddr3 2133mhz
would it be worth the cash and would i see much difference

im clocked at 3.6 on the q6600 and the nb gets quite hot too hot to touch sometimes and ive got a 5850 and an intel value ssd and to be honest i was lookin at the r3e with a 980x but its just to much money for me to spend on a pc so i thought i can upgrade and go for a weekend away

I don't think that you actually need to make an upgrade because you will see no difference if you buy another quad core CPU and keep in mind that games and applications barely know know hot to use 2 cores...

^^Hes talking about upgrading to a 6 core ;)
Well tbh Johnny if you really feel you need it i wouldnt bother as you already have quite a good system, Maybe watercool your NB and cpu etc? or buy a better heatsink/fan for the NB?
