I just got my pc back from OC after it died on me. They changed the mobo from a Abit IP35 Intel P35 to a asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS. Im happy my pc is working again but now that they've changed the mobo, i have no audio input. What to do? Buy new sound card? or will an old sound card work?

Would this (Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy 2 6.1 ) soundcard work with the new mobo?

My god.. don't let them do that that's a crappy motherboard compared to the Abit.

It does however have audio input. But it's still nowhere near as good or stable as the abit. They're just trying to get rid of old stocks that aren't selling by using them as replacements for decent boards. Send it back and demand your original board.

Argh. How annoying. Instead of sending the whole machine back, do you think they can just send me the mobo? I really can't go another week without my pc.

Well i've demanded they send me my Abit board which I paid for. Im not sending the whole thing back. For just now, would the creative sound card work for this mobo?

There is no audio input. Unless im blind i can't see anywhere to input audio. I think they forgot to add the sound card.:@

btw, they sent me this mobo without any manuals, box or extra parts.

I guess who ever was building it forgot to add it.

Ring them up and I' sure they will send it out/change your motherboard.

My audigy 2 works in that mobo fine. And it does have onboard sound. I believe its to the bottom left between the last two PCI slots.

Here is where the audio plug is:

Like I said though the audigy 2 fits fine in any of the PCI slots. I'm not sure where you are trying to put yours!
