New mobo - no sigma

Hi,
Just got a new (well second hand but only a few times) Gigabyte GA-P35C-DSR, after my abit IP35 died. I got it installed it all spins up etc, there's clearly stuff going on because the HD light flashes, i know all the other components are ok because i was using them until recently. but nothing comes up on screen

i dont think its shorting. but i'll double check any ideas?

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DSR
E6300
ATI 3870
crucial ddr2-5300
antec true power 2.0 480w

Have you got the 4Pin cpu power connector plugged in.?

Can you double check you gpu is inserted properly and power connected.

and try the ram one by one and in different slots.

Is there any possibility of checking components in another machine.
Or even try a different monitor / cable.

In fact, do you know for a fact the new, second hand mobo is working.?

hi, it all seems to be working now, i took the ram out tried it stick by stick which didn't do anything so put it all back in again and it started, must have been just one of those odd things cheers for the help though
