Hey guys

I have just ordered my self a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R and a Q6600 GO edition. I have installed them onto my new system. I noticed on installation the north bridge was slightly lose but i went ahead anyway. I have installed Windows Vista Ultimate. I am now installing drivers. Every time i go to install my ATI x1950 pro drivers i get a BSOD relating to atidcmxx.sys. This card worked perfectly fine on Vista Ultimate just as the rest of my components did. I cant undestand why this is happerning. It only happens on installing that driver. I have also noted that when i turn the pc on after the BSOD all of the mobo phase LED's are lighten up.

Could this be related to the new mobo and CPU or could it just be a software thing? and if so any words of advice.

Thanks

nb was loose but you carried on anyway?!!

make sure it's on properly, and apply more heat paste if you need to

update the bios on the motherboard (do it IN the bios/qflash screen, not in windows)

i've got the same cpu, same motherboard (v 2.1)

Was the NB securely clipped in using the spring loaded plastic 'thingies'? If not then do as suggested above.
