I just got a "GA-MA790X-UD3P" http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-199-GI.
I have 2x2GiB DDR2 1066 RAM and a Phenom II 940 AM2+.

Now the ram will only run at 800MHz, I can't find a way to get it running at 1066 like a good boy.

But the multiplyer is unlocked so I'm thinking there may be a way to fiddle with multipliers to get the RAM up from 4.0x 800MHz by reducing the CPU speed and upping the multiplier...

Any chance of this?! If not how do I get my RAM to run in 1066

Cheers

Where are you seeing that? If it's in CPU-Z then apparently it displays those sort of readings but in reallity that value is doubled...

If you mean the bios has set it to that you'll need to change it manually in the bios - this was the case with me. I had to 'overclock' using XMP to get it to the potential value.

Edit - just re-read, not sure if above is valid anymore lol.

It's running at 800MHz, 4.0 is some multiplier to clarify,.
How would I go about changing things to get ~3200MHz CPU and ~1066MHz RAM
