I purchased an Asus P5Q Pro from the B-grade section (with an E5200 and 4GB OCZ) a few weeks back. Unfortunately the blasted thing wouldn't work, It wouldn't post, it wouldn't beep and I couldn't get any signal to my monitor. I asked for it to be RMA'd, I was given a code and a link to an intel page which detailed the things that weren't covered by the warranty. One of the things was bent pins
and so I checked my CPU only to find two bent pins out of place. I phoned around the local computer repair shops only to be given crazy quotes like "yeah we can fix that for £65+VAT+Labour costs". So basically I'm now looking for a basic replacement, £50 and under. Is the Asus P5K EPU any good? I really can't afford anymore than that 'cos I had originally planned it to be just a cheap upgrade (coming from an old P4, 512MB o' RAM).
Any suggestions would be welcome
