Hi Guys

Finalising my build for my new PC, need some advice. If i go down the Intel route i will be getting a 4770k, i have a 290 and will probably add a 2nd later.

I need a good solid CHEAP option with decent SLI options

So far i have tagged

MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
Gigabyte Z87x-SLI
Gigabyte Z87x-OC
Gigabte Z87 Sniper (the cheap one)

Thoughts on the best bang for buck above? would like to get the 4770k to around 4.4ghz or so.

If i go the AMD route i know the options are far more limited, will be buying an 8350 so need options on a decent board, obviously the savings on the chip can be put to the mobo. Any advice on a decent AM3+ board?

Cheers all

I've got the cheaper G1.sniper and I'm very pleased with it, I'm using a 4670k at 4.5ghz no probs, and memory is overclocked to 2133.
If you go AMD you want an Asus of some sort, EVO, pro, sabertooth etc.

Are the other brands for AMD CPU's no good then? gigabyte etc? brief scan of the net and lots of people saying the Gigabyte ones OC very well. Guess the top end Asus one is the one to go for then.

The cheapest option would be to upgrade your I5 to an I7.
Gigabyte UD3 rev 4, but generally you wont know what rev it is until you get it and the UD5 is also good.
Most people generally recommend asus for AMD as they overclock well and seem better bang for buck, such as
