my router died earlier this morning so need to get a replacement.

I’m on fttc and “had” a tp link td-w8960n modem router connected to a Bt modem (eci-Cpe type 1b) to get my internet.

Any suggestion what I should get? had read somewhere the Bt modem isn’t the best so maybe I should replace that at the same time or get something that does the job of both? No idea what they cost so all sensible suggestions welcome.

Who's your ISP? Can they supply you with anything for a nominal cost? Almost any modern ISP supplied wireless router will have better specs. than what you're using at the moment.

The old BT supplied modems are still generally fine. Grabbing another one secondhand will be the cheapest option if your router is still okay.

If you're going to change to Zen I believe that they'll supply to with a wireless router (FRITZ!Box 7530).

If you stay with Plusnet and re-contract you should be able to get a new router from them for the cost of their shipping (£6.99?).
