New Mondeo Zetec or Skoda Octavia Ambiente?

Ok I've been offered a new company car and have found the two above cars are within the budget.

The mondeo is the 2.0 Tdci Zetec.

The Skoda I looked at was the 1.9 Ambiente but in light of a colleague getting the mondeo in budget, I might be able to get a better spec one.

Anyone have any feedback on these or views?

If its the new Mondeo, Mondeo every single time. New Mondeo is apparently and exceptional car - Autocar reckon as an all round package taking into account value as well as ability it's a better bet than a BMW 3 Series!

High praise indeed. A league ahead of the Skoda.
 
Bowing down to the Fox-cyclopedia when it comes to mondeo's, but would the new mondeo not be 2.2, and not 2.0? Or does it come in both?

I apologise, it only comes in 1.8 and 2.0 tdci. Should have kept the faith!
 
Thanks for the input guys, I was leaning heavyly for the mondeo anyway and you gave me the push I needed.

Now I just need to decide between Sea Grey or Thunder...... :rolleyes:
