Hi Guys,

So my current monitor (1440x900, 19") is on its last legs, it started not powering on in the mornings so I've ended up having to leave it on 24/7 so it doesn't affect schedules and the like. Now it won't even stay on consistently like that.

So I'm in the market for a new monitor, around £150-160. Currently trying to decide between these two, which is better? Or is there another monitor I'm missing? Primary uses will be gaming and videos.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Dell UltraSharp U2312HM 23" Widescreen LED Monitor - Midnight Grey £169.99
1 x Iiyama Prolite E2481HS-B1 24" Widescreen LED Super Slim Bezel Monitor - Black £155.99
Total : £340.08 (includes shipping : £11.75).

The IPS of the Dell is nice, but the officey look is a bit of a turn off, the slim bezel on the Iiyama is rather sexy, as is the low response time/75Hz but the lack of adjustments is a little worrying as it looks like it may sit higher than my current monitor.

Looks like it's between the P2414H and the Prolite then, the P2414H looks a little less officey although the silver doesn't really fit with my general theme. Another worry with the prolite is that I can't seem to find any reviews of it.

Decisions decisions...

I can't recommend the P2414H highly enough (if you've read my review, you'll see why). The Iiyama has no advantage at all when it comes to responsiveness in the real world but certainly has obvious disadvantages when it comes to colour. The Dell is simply a steal at its current price.

I must say I think I'm pretty much sold on the P2414H now, the silver stand looks much better in natural lighting, should fit my colour scheme better. Just going to give it an hour or so just incase anything else pops up, otherwise that'll be the one I'm ordering :D
