After a new monitor for my gaming pc am pretty new to the pc gaming world after just purchasing my pc currently using a bog standard dell 19" vga connected screen.

What should i be looking at spec wise for a gaming set up bugeted around £150 if thatd be enough for a casual gamer playing fps mainly would prefer a hdmi compatible monitor.

you can easily get a nice 1080p, 60Hz, 24" screen for <£150.

one of the most important stats to look out for for gaming is GtG response time, but it's difficult to tell because some monitors only list the value when their "overdrive features" are cranked up, which sometimes make the image look crap due to "overshoot".

anything with 5ms or less GtG response time should be fine, 2ms or less is exceptionally good for gaming.

reading reviews helps too, also check out pcmonitors.info, good site.

Been looking at this monitor think its perfect for what i need. 1ms response time to is there anything with a simular spec to compare

You cant have competitors links, I suggest you remove it before a mod does.

The asus Vn247h is a great monitor for the money.
