New monitor/adding second (noobie)

Hey guys,

so i've had my Dell S2409W for around 3/4 years now. It's still in good condition (no dead pixels or scratches on screen). Now i don't know much about dual monitors and all of that (if you want to provide useful links then feel free). I thought you just plug a second monitor in and blam! Anyway i need more room to work on with using programs like after effects, sony vegas and Davinci Resolve 9.

Anyway i want to buy a new 24" monitor (not too expensive) so i can combine it with my current S2409W. Could you give a few suggestions?

well i use two monitors ...ie one would have a game running on it and the other would have some hardware monitoring software running on it or firefox ....something like that....and i just basically added it to the input on my 560

Hmm, well im thinking of getting the Acer S240HLbid. I'm just concerned about colour difference. i want something that is similar to the colour levels as my current dell monitor.

Yeah i hear that, i have an LG and a Samsung both 22"...but the LG seems to have a blueish tint to it ...wont be going LG again ....but the samsung seems not to have any such tint ...so i would go with one of those again

Think im gonna go with the Samsung S24B300HL, any objections?

well if it was me i would go for that....but i like samsung anyway ..mine is the 22B300...its nice n clear ...bright but not too bright that after a few hours it makes my eyes water...like the Dell 22 " i used to use ( still have it somewhere )
