I'm looking to put together a new PC mainly for playing COD, I've not got the space to have two monitors on my desk so would like to send the Eizo back to work and get something that I an use for both work and play to replace it. Looking around at the OLED stuff, although nice, it's of my budget, I'd ideally like to keep it around or below the £300 mark.
Things I would like are high refresh (ish), 1440p, IPS (mainly for work, graphic design, retouching etc) and maybe the possibility of a KVM so I can use a single keyboard and mouse and plug the MacBook into it for work.
Gigabyte 27 M27Q-X 2560x1440 IPS 240Hz 1ms FreeSync KVM Switch LED Backlit Gaming Monitor £288.95
Looks like it ticks all the boxes for what I need but am open to suggestions if anyone has any better ideas?
I'm going for an AMD card this time around so haven't used free sync before, only G-Sync, reading up it seems that it only operates between a range that tops out at 144hz, when it hits this does it revert to v-sync off or can I set it to limit the frame rate? This mildly concerns me as I hate screen tearing/input lag.
