new monitor advice, 27" for gaming

i'm currently using a NEC 24WMGX2

looking to move up to 27".

budget £500

the sole purpose is for gaming, BF2 being he most played.

be using with
2700k
16gb ram
280x Toxic

As you're currently using an IPS panel i'm going to assume that like me, you're not willing to take the big step back down to a TN Film one.

In which case, I would recommend something like a Dell U2713HM. I have one and whilst it doesn't have all the "1ms G2G" and "144Hz" stuff, it's absolutely fine for gaming - and you still get the excellent colour reproduction and wide viewing angles of the panel type.

I used to have a Dell U2713HM and would highly recommend it, the only
reason I don't have it any more, is because I was offered a 3014 at a very
nice price, otherwise I would have kept it

You didn't say anything about what resolution you will be playing at, but the 2713HM is 2560 x 1440,but you can
also get 27" monitors @ 1920 x 1080 as well.
