New Monitor - Advice Needed

Hi all,

I was looking to purchase another monitor for my setup at home.

Price wise, nothing more than £300 really.
Looking for a 144Hz monitor but if you have any others to recommend then please do
24" is more than enough personally and I'm not really too fussed about going above 1080p.
Will use it for work and gaming of course

Here's what I've been recommended so far:
LG 24GM77 24"

BenQ XL2420Z 24"

Which would you recommend?

My personal feeling is that if you can stretch your budget to £300 you'd be better looking for a 27" 1440p monitor! 1440p and 27" is a big step up whereas IMO the increased refresh rate doesn't make much of a difference!

If you'd still set on a 24" 1080p one then hopefully someone will be able to advise though....
