Hi im looking to change my monitor currently i have a 22inch Samsung curve 1080p with freesync,

Im looking at maybe a 4k or even 144hz but i cant go larger than a 24inch with a budget around the 300 mark, am i wasting my time or is it worth the upgrade?

any advice on models ect would be appriciated

You're wasting your money with 4K at 24", not only due to the very small size, but being able to drive it sufficiently with an AMD GPU is going to be a stretch. At 24" max, the Samsung C24FG70 could be worth a look... it's 144Hz, VA, Freesync and under your budget.

If you can push to 27" though, your options will open up considerably, but you'd easily blow the budget then also.

oh i have 1070 gpu buddy my limitation is im under the stairs and have the slope of the ceiling stopping me getting anything bugger

Don't bother with Freesync then... in fact you might as well just stick with what you've got unless you plan on getting an AMD GPU. Or save up for a G-Sync monitor. There are few 24" G-Sync models but they would all be over your budget... unless you can perhaps find a stonking Black Friday deal somewhere, or second hand of course.

Is there an option for you to wall mount? That could afford you more room. But regardless, a budget of £300 for anything bigger than 24" doesn't get you much.
