New Monitor Advice :)

Hey all I need some advice for a new monitor. This will be used for connecting to my main PC for gaming/movies/internet. It will also be used for connecting my work laptop and gaming laptop (when needed)
I want the laptop to give me good gaming images but also be good for movies.
I am hoping for 34inch. Any specs from anyone?

My advice would be to buy a monitor that covers the basics first and buy from a firm that's prepared to recognise faults and act on them. Spec's count for nothing when they only apply to a ten inch oval in the centre of the screen.

1k budget, after 34", hmmm super wide maybe? X34 and PG348Q comes to mind.
If you decide to go with a 16:9, definitely get a 1440p, some sort of vari refresh tech, 120/144hz, ideally IPS and 27" for that resolution

With the 980Ti it's worth spending the bit extra on the X34 or something similar.

I adopted early before they were out sadly and got an LG34UC99 or something and it's the best upgrade I've done by far.
