Good Morning all,

I'm in the process of building a new PC and now require a new Monitor to go with it. I am looking for a 27/32" Monitor that will mainly be used for 4k video editing. I also have a teenage son who is looking at the PC with only one thing on his mind GAMING!!

So what advice/reccomendations would you give as it a total nightmare trying to decide.

Budget wise I am willing to spend up to £400

What resoloution will your son be gaming at and gpu do you have ?

Types of games hes going to play.

Do you need 4k for your work.

Buy what is suitable for your main use case, which appears to be 4k photo and video editing, don't look for gaming features with that budget, you'll sacrifice panel quality e.g. colours, viewing angles, and uniformity at that budget as it is without adding in gaming features.

A decent 27" is the Dell S2721QS if you want 32" which I prefer at 4k, then see if you can push the budget a little and get a BenQ PD3200U.

He be playing 1440 but would like the future proofing

I have a 3080GPU

I will use the 4k capability just for video editing for personal use of gopro footage etc
