I used to own some **** 15" monitor, that ran at 1078x768 (or something), after recently purchasing a 24" monitr (feels HUGE in comparison) the bios still stayed at the same res, the text is slightly blurry and awkward only running at a small resolution.

I own this motherboard: http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A78LMUSB3/

How can I change it to 1080p? Or do I have to live with it? It's a minor irritation but it's still annoying! :D

Since no drivers are loaded before or in BIOS (afaik) you're stuck with it, it's probably the native res supported by your GPU (I think). Drivers and such load in after the beep when the Windows logo shows.

I think you can't change it although I'm not certain!

BIOS resolution is in either VGA or SVGA iirc, so it will fit on almost any screen you could possibly connect to your PC
