I've just a new monitor and every 30mins-1hr the screen momentarily blacks out - for approx 5 seconds before coming back to life as though nothing ever happened.

It's an Acer ET430K 43-inch UHD Monitor (IPS panel, 5ms, HDR Ready, DP, HDMI).

Before this I was using a cheap Acer TN screen connected via HDMI and had no similar problems.

Now I'm using Displayport to connect it. My graphics card is a Inno3D GeForce GTX 1070 which hasn't displayed any problems to date.

The set up is in a fairly cool room.

Not sure what else might be a pertinent factor.

Can anyone help me diagnose the problem?

Thanks a lot.

Fairly common and the most likely cause is a poor quality cable and/or interference.
Ah, many thanks. I've ordered another cable just in case but as to whether it's any better quality than what's in place... I'll have to wait and see.

Cheers for the assistance.
