new monitor but which one?

Hi all i'm thinking about buying a new monitor, looking for a 34" for gaming and I was thinking about this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-107-LG&groupid=17&catid=1120

what do you think? I don't want to waste money so I thought Id ask here for some advice my pc spec is :-

CPU: AMD Bulldozer FX-6 6300 Black Edition 3.50GHz @ 4.60GHz CPU
Mobo: Asus 990FX Sabertooth AMD 990FX (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel
Cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems Black CPU Cooler
GPU:XFX R9 270X 2GB GDDR5

Will my pc be able to run games at 2560x1080 Resolution
I am also worried about monitor flicker.
Any advice would be great.

General info with regards to monitor flicker:
If you're worried about flicker, then Active 3D is not a viable option (shutter glasses). As for 60Hz vs 120/144Hz with regards to LCD monitors, you don't have to be worried about flicker in that sense. They only refresh the image at 60Hz and 120/144Hz, but it won't cause any flicker, like a 60Hz CRT would.

But on the contrary, the potential flicker would come from the PWM backlight (pulse width modulation), which is there to decrease power draw. PWM usually operates at 150-250Hz, so even the people sensitive to PWM most probably won't notice the PWM itself, but they would experience dry eyes and headaches because of it. And from what I've understood, you should also be wary of Lightboost, as its main function is to strobe the backlight to decrease perceivable motion blur.

Then there are "flicker free" monitors, which don't use PWM at all. More info and a list of currently known non-PWM monitors here: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/flicker_free_database.htm

The LG 34UM65 you have your eyes on is indeed listed as flicker-free, though there isn't a specific confirmation yet. But considering they're specifically marketing it as flicker-safe, and its big brother 34UM95 is confirmed to be flicker-free, you should be safe going with the 34UM65 (10+ in stock atm).
