New monitor can't decide which

Well I have around £500 for a new monitor upgrade but can't decide which is best.

Options are

LG 34UM95C-P 34" 3440X1440 IPS

ACER PREDATOR XF270HU 27" 2560X1440 IPS FREESYNC 144HZ (and forget about gsync butbsave a good chunk of cash)

ACER PREDATOR XB270HUDBMIPRZ 27" 2560X1440 TN G-SYNC 144HZ

ACER PREDATOR Z35 35" 2560X1080 VA 200HZ G-SYNC

Or do I save a bit longer and go for this

ACER PREDATOR X34A 34" 3440X1440 IPS G-SYNC

Or any other options?

What games do you play? Imo that will be the deciding factor. For my money with your setup the Acer XF270HU would've been the best choice.

Not much point going with a freesync monitor with an nvidia card surely ?...I would go with a G-Sync monitor , even more so seeing as you have a nice 1080 GPU

The X34A is fantastic, but it's not really a case of saving 'a bit' more, it's almost twice as much as your budget.

G sync version is like £220 more not worth it in my opinion

Yeh that's just save 1/2 months more can wait if itsvthats much better

I get a solid 144 fps on BF4 on ultra ( 2560x1440)which is the game I play mostly , also on ETS , and project cars too

..and Doom i get around 135 fps too

This is why I'm wondering if I would really need gsync and at 144hz is it that noticeable compared to 60hz?

Just got an X34a, it's truly stunning!

My first G Sync monitor and the difference is outrstranding. 40fps feels like 80.

The Freesync feature is a bonus, more than the reason for the monitor. It's hard to beat 1440p/144hz/IPS for that price. And when you have the best GPU on the market the need for freesync/gsync lessens, especially since it isn't 4K. Personally I don't think the cost of the ultra-wides with gsync is worth it compared to how good the XF270HU acer is.

I'm in a similar situation.

Have just received my 1080 and am ready for some High Fidelity.

The problem is, i think you need G-Sync, but the 4k monitors are too small in my opinion, i mean 27inches?! Wtf!! I game currently on a 32inch 1080p screen, i can't go smaller.

And the X34's are hugely expensive!

So it seems like i;m priced out of GSync, there doesn;t seem to be much affordable.

It's not really meant to be affordable, you're buying into Nvidia after all.

It was tempting to get a couple of Furys and go Freesync, but i was also thinking of VR, and i like the single pass rendering solution.

Just get a 144hz IPS 1440p screen, whichever one you prefer. Ignore Gsync, its a waste of money at that refresh rate. If it has Freesync so be it, you cant use it but at least you save £200.
